A youth program under Christian friends mission intl directed by pastor frank kivumbi mukiliza in Uganda Africa.
Pastor frank who has spent 20yrs working with the orphans, children and widows in Uganda spotted a need (problems) in the increasing youth especially after the covid 19 pandemic.
These needs included discrimination, girl abuse, torture, leading to drugs, thugs, gangs, early marriages, un wanted pregnancies due to forced sex, etc
This ended up many youth in state of unproductive hence having a corrupt generation in communities full of violence leading to a dead nation or living in a circle of poverty
About Uganda youth.
Uganda has the world’s youngest population with over 78 percent of its population below the age of 30. With just under eight million youth aged 15-30, the country also has one of the highest youth unemployment rates in Sub-Saharan Africa.
CHALLENGES YOUTH FACE IN DEVELOPMENT
Main causes of youth unemployment in Uganda.
Inadequate education and lack of productivity is costing jobs. Unemployment increases progressively with decreased educational levels; and the education system is not producing the skills for the labour market. Labour supply is affected by the increase in the number of job seekers over the years.

Main causes of school drop outs in Uganda
The study established that the major determinants of school dropout rate are poverty, early teen pregnancy, religion, culture and lack of parents and or guardians. The findings also revealed that female scholars are more affected by the factors as they drop out of school more than their female counterparts.
In Uganda the average primary school dropout rate is 45% but this rate is much higher amongst girls. This can be due to to a lack of basic needs like good nutrition, clothing and child labour, or cultural reasons such as domestic chores, child marriages and teenage pregnancies.

Making the youth to know. Awaking them from sleep, reviving gifts and talents in them empowering them to take stand and do it now.

Here we offer skilling. Skills training program for easy job creation. These include computer, fashion and design, tailoring, hair dressing, learning to speak English.

Here youth meet to discuss major topics, get inspired , getting solutions to challenges and opportunities are shared for a better future

With all the above to mention but a few, pastor frank and team came up with a three years program called youth awake project where they organize youth workshops, trainings and round table discussions where youth meet and get uplifting inspiration speakers to get them awake and do things that will cause them to seize their future thus becoming developmental for their families,societies, communities and to the nation.

Sesentizing the youth to change their mindset in the area of development and embracing diversity
Pastor frank goes on organizing dinners, breakfast roundtables or weekend workshops.
Pastor Frank mukiliza who has been working with street children,needy children, orphans and widows for over 2 decades,saw a beed in the growing youth but with no bright future especially after the 2years lockdown of covid 19. For example,those who were 15 are 17, 16 are 18, 18 are 20. Many dropped out of school
Many who were teens got pregnant now are mothers, others went to school but are un employed due to un employment.

It’s not an easy job as it requires funds and acceptance for permission to gather the youth.
